You wake up sick.
Don't get me wrong, I'm actually having a great week!
I ate horribly this weekend, dealt with a sick kid and a sick husband, helped run a baby shower, and worked out 2 days in a row. In a row. So all in all, yeah - it's been good.
Officially, today is Weigh In Wednesday. I woke up with a sore throat today, my son has now missed a week of school, and we're all wandering around trying to get better. My poor kid - he's such a trooper. I'm going to have a mommy moment here. He's had a double ear infection for about a week, and he's been having asthma attacks because of his allergies. The kid had been hacking up a lung for a week straight. It's enough to make you want to cry. He's on the mend now, but it's been a long week in that area.
Here's the thing though - I stepped on the scale today and realized I haven't lost an ounce. I haven't gained an ounce either. I have been through all that and I stayed the same - because I got back on track, worked out and ate right. I fell off of the fatwagon - and I got back on! I did not give up - and I usually do.
It's been a week of self-discovery, friends. A good one. And even though I'm now sick - I'm not giving up, I'm not using it as an excuse to ruin all I've worked for. I'm going to rest, get better, and be back full force as soon as I'm well!

You go, girl. I hope your son and you feel better soon. Drink a lot of water.
While it's lovely to lose, my mantra is "a day I didn't gain is a day I didn't LOSE to weight creep."
I did a long haul of maintaining, and that' why I joined the Summer Slimmin' Challenge, but I always felt like I was putting effort into NOT gaining back the weight and getting back to 300 lbs. So, holding is holding and it's better than creeping up. Now, I hope to see you lose next week!
Keep up the fight. And I hope you and yours all get to 100% healthy soon.
Awesome job maintaining through adversity! You're rad :)
Happy Dance for You!
Hope you all get well soon.
Feels great when you take care of yourself, huh?
I actually secretly love the weeks where I go off the deep end (or what I think it might be) and then get back on track only to see that I didn't gain or lose.
I love those weeks (a bit) because it helps remind me that nothing is permanent and that I can turn the train of self-destruction around.
Way to go - way to hold on to your success even in the midst of all that stress.
1- I am sorry your sick! That stinks
2 I think you'll see the pay off next week concerning weight
3- This week has been awesome for your confidence in yourself!
4- I like the way your comments are
5- I'm done now
Maintaining here too. It is a very good thing.
Way to go! The weekends are rough, aren't they? It's so easy to fit in all kinds of treats for myself when I'm not at work. I'm trying to keep fewer tempting foods in the cupboards. But depending on how snacky I feel, it sometimes ALL looks good. Fat free fig newtons are delicious and fairly low-cal...but only 2 per serving size! That's the hard part, stopping when the calories add up, not when my mouth is satisfied.
I like your determination in your words! Words can be so powerful. You sound committed to not let things get you down, or down for too long. I love that!! Keep it up, I think you're doing great!

ATTA GIRL!!! I know it's hard to give 100% when you're not feeling 100% but I LOVE your spirit through it all! Please DO take care of yourself & the rest of the crew & all of you get real better real fast! *HUGS*
Good for you. Awesome job.
You fall OFF the fat wagon when you eat. I fall IN the FAT TROUGH when I eat. Hmmm. Maybe I need a GPS for my cravings...
Thanks for visiting my blog so I could find you! WOOT!
